Steven Chen
Steven Chen is a registered patent attorney with deep experience advising technology clients—from global enterprises to start-ups—on a wide range of intellectual property matters. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, litigation, and strategic IP counseling.

Steven has represented clients in high-stakes intellectual property litigation in U.S. federal courts, before the International Trade Commission (ITC), and in post-grant proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also guides clients through the patent prosecution process across a broad spectrum of technologies, including 5G and LTE networks, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, CAD software, GPS technologies, semiconductors, integrated circuits, networking products, and green tech.

In addition to securing patents, Steven prepares legal opinions, develops IP portfolio strategies, and advises on standard-essential patents and licensing matters. His ability to bridge complex technical concepts and legal frameworks makes him a trusted advisor for innovation-driven companies.

Prior to practicing law, Steven spent over two decades as an engineer, founder, and technology leader, contributing to the development of cutting-edge products and holding numerous patents himself. His work has been featured in technical publications, and in 2010, he was honored with the European Patent Office’s Inventor of the Year Award for a breakthrough chipset that enhanced GPS accuracy and accessibility—technology now foundational to modern navigation systems.

Steven brings a unique blend of legal insight and hands-on technical expertise to help clients protect and grow their intellectual property assets.
